Here are some photos of the railway sleeper wall and raised beds we built last year. The reclaimed tropical hardwood railway sleepers are now weathering in the sun to a beautiful silver grey and we are really happy with them. We chose them because we didn't want any tar and creosote treated railway sleepers, and wanted a solid wooden boundary between us and the field. We fastened them together with Timberlok screws. George, our labrador, is mighty impressed, though he wishes it was lower so he could jump over it!
