Kingsbury High School Legacy Garden

We just thought we would send you some photos of our "embryonic" Legacy Garden which we started earlier this year with the help of your oak railway sleepers.  The idea, part funded by the Jack Petchey foundation, was to create a pleasant, quiet place for both staff and pupils who needed some time for reflection or just somewhere to eat lunch, weather permitting!  The garden is about 30 x 10m in size and contains four of your raised beds along with some miniature fruit trees, a pathway and a couple of garden benches.  The weather was somewhat against us earlier, with some cold, dry spells but we have planted the beds with colour themed perennials and annuals and, luckily, the latter are just beginning to poke up their noses!  Hopefully, by mid summer, they should be a riot of colour.
Thank you for your prompt and efficient service and we trust that the garden will be of benefit to all in the years to come.
Kind regards ~ Steve Wood & Bruce Viveash (ex KHS staff members).

Thank you for your photos. You've created a tranquil oasis, with a simple design, for people to either sit and contemplate or eat their sandwiches. Very peaceful.
