Dear Kilgraney When we took a first look at where the steps were meant to go, we almost went home. Carrying all the oak was a killer, but in the end it all worked out fine. The last 2 photos were taken a year later when the oak had weathered to a silver grey. Paul Fryer

All credit to your perseverance. What an achievement, and what a fantastic flight of stairs, that cuts through an unbelievably steep sloping garden, to create a work of art. The oak looks wonderful.
