Graham's fire surround & TV stand with oak barrel & railway sleepers
Just an example of the outcome of the barrel and railway sleepers. The railway sleepers became a fire surround and two shelves above the TV. The reclaimed oak barrel became a TV stand. The bottom of the tv stand has been routed and a circle of MDT fitted with small feet to keep it just off the carpet so that no staining will be created by the inside of the barrel, and it's been cleaned several times so there is no longer any smell of longmore whisky! The other bit of the oak barrel is a planter in the garden for an acer tree.
