Darren's classic bench from weathered Jarrah Railway Sleepers
I made this bench from old jarrah railway sleepers and railway spikes. Didn't need much other than a good going over with a wire brush as it already had a nice waxy finish on it. I used 150mm bolts to secure the legs and used the railway sleeper spikes to cover up the bolt heads. I also found a nice rusty bit of steel rod which I welded up into some brackets for some additional detail.

I love what you have created. A unique looking garden bench, that perfectly shows off the beautiful original weathered finish of the old railway sleepers, and complimented by the industrial looking steel rods. A nice touch and a real classic!
