Here are some photos of the railway sleeper wall and raised beds we built last year. The reclaimed railway sleepers are now weathering in the sun to a beautiful silver grey and we are really happy with them. We chose them because we didn't want any tar and creosote treated railway sleepers, and wanted a solid wooden boundary between us and the field. We fastened them together with Timberlok screws. George, our labrador, is mighty impressed, though he wishes it was lower so he could jump over it!

RAILWAY SLEEPERS USED
Grade 1-2 Jarrah tropical hardwood railway sleepers
What a simple yet impressive design, and a beautiful example of used tropical hardwood railway sleepers being used to create a garden wall, gate posts and raised beds. The natural bleached effect blends effortlessly with the grass and planting, and frames the stunning view beyond. A great example of railway sleeper landscaping.
