Despite the hassle of their weight, there are few railway sleepers that match the chunky longevity of used Dutch oak railway sleepers. They look like they've been there for years! Brian's design is almost classical in it's symmetry, and simple to create. That's not of course forgetting the sweat of lifting, cutting and fixing them in place, that the photos omit!!
