IS THAT AN OVERSIZED BLUE CHICKEN IN A RAILWAY SLEEPER RAISED BED?

These large Takohe birds that now live in the Murchison mountains were thought to be extinct a century ago but have been returned to the wilderness of the Greenstone Valley in New Zealand's South Island. They are about 50cm high, flightless, with bluey green feathers and long bright red legs. Their current population is about 400.
