Padstow raised bed with railway sleepers
A raised bed in Padstow Harbour, Cornwall, made from eight new softwood railway sleepers, that have been coloured with a darker stain and filled with plants to provide colour on the waterside.

Padstow is a beautiful traditional fishing village on the north Cornwall coast, swamped with admiring tourists every summer. Some may hold special memories of it for the boat filled harbour, the art shops, mountains of ice cream parlours, children attempting to catch crabs off the jetty, catching the ferry across to Rock, or fish and chips at Rick Steins growing foodie empire. But now there will be those who admire this railway sleeper raised bed, and return home intending to build one themselves!
