Railway sleepers everywhere - a collection of photos
Everywhere I go I see railway sleepers! On my way into Nottingham, Sat morn, I saw some railway sleeper benches, and immediately thought, 'I wish I had the camera with me'! The first 3 pictures are Ruddington Country Park. The next picture is Foxton Lock (the crossing timbers are used to separate the grass from the reeds) Then, Coton Manor Gardens. The final pictures are random railway sleeper photos from customers.

I think you're right about railway sleepers being found everywhere - It's not just a figment of your imagination! Keep taking the railway sleeper pictures.... It's great to see as wide a selection as possible.
