Carrying railway sleepers around your sloping garden
Railway sleepers are great for landscaping... but they still have to be carried into place and can feel really hard going, especially on a slope, and especially when you've chosen these heavyweight used hardwood Dutch ones. So whether you use a wheelbarrow or a strong pair of hands, plan safely how you are going to get your sleepers into place. Better to have too much help than end up with a bad back!

Using railway sleepers on a slope and creating different levels can look so fantastic, but please take care when you're lifting your railway sleepers into place. Gravity is always against you! The end product looks great, though, and it's well worth the effort.
