Margaret's retaining walls with used Jarrah railway sleepers
The railway sleepers were essential to terrace the slope behind the cottage. I am very pleased with the result... Here is "after" overview taken some time ago. So I took two more just now. One picture shows the railway sleepers better (with bark, gravel, fencing and young planting). Other ones give a more settled (chaotic) view of the whole garden

Thankyou for the pictures. It seems like you've used the railway sleepers really effectively to section and terrace the slope, and help create order out of chaos! Railway sleepers are great to create partitions in the garden.
