Finally! The last batch of photos of the completed project. Quite a journey!
This project was originally supposed to be decking platforms and gabion baskets but after some further research, along with discovering bed rock in the hill, tiering the garden seemed like the best option. Unfortunately the access was terrible - sets of stairs on each side of the building and no access from the back. So everything was hand dug and materials brought in by hand. It’s very true that these Railway sleepers are not for the faint hearted! In all, roughly 21 tonnes of materials were placed in. Using H beams and creating the wall was the simplest part to the whole project.
From start to finish, the Railway Sleepers sales team went above and beyond in terms of advice and support, double checking each number of materials due to the haulage having to go to Scotland. Thanks to Jerry and the team for working with us.
The garden is definitely worth the hard work and the results have our clients in astonishment. When the last railway sleeper went in place, I almost vowed to never do one like this again, but after one year, I’m tempted to do it again! The street where this was built has turned into my showroom. I’m nearly half way in having all the clients on the street now!
