Bob's oak railway sleeper steps

Last year I had some new oak railway sleepers from you. Attached are some shots of left over railway sleepers used as steps in the same garden - no rocket science, I drilled near each end and then sledge hammered 900mm x 16mm diam. steel pins through to anchor the railway sleepers into formation. Gap in wall taken out by excavator, then railway sleepers bedded on concrete and ends anchored into rebuilt side walls. After a few months, the oak railway sleepers have weathered to an attractive silver grey. Seem to go well with golden flint gravel

The weathered greying oak railway sleepers fit brilliantly next to the drystone wall & gravel. A very attractive project.
