Bold steps from railway sleepers that cut through terrace
We used a interesting mixture of new and used railway sleepers to create this solid set of stairs that cuts through an existing retaining wall, and gains access to the higher garden level. A lot of digging was involved through sticky clay, but in the end the staircase fits beautifully within the existing structure, and we are very pleased.
