Stuart Pearce's landscaping with azobe railway sleepers

Please find attached a 'before' and 'after' of my little garden project.
Using the railway sleepers was so much easier than constructing masonry walling to retain my garden area and gives a wonderful organic feel to the garden now (and I don't have to paint it). I used your African Azobe railway sleepers as I wanted something that was recycled but safe without creosote in it (my little boy Ziggy is 7 months now!. He is going to love it out here!).
Thanks for the ideas page from where I drew my own inspiration! Hopefully someone will get some from my images. The paving is a Fossil Buff sandstone pointed with a natural hydraulic lime and sharp sand mortar (1 part lime to 2 parts sand). I wet the paving first with a hose, packed in the mortar, left it 24 hours and then brushed off the latence to expose the colours in the sand. I think it looks great.

It's so unbelievable to see your 'before' photo, and then see your amazing finished creation. Such a transformation. The paving and the railway sleepers look wonderful together.
