National Trust's railway sleeper raised pond

This Group has recently been formed to to help manage the Fen. We set out to create a raised pond with railway sleepers for use by people in wheelchairs and toddlers. Aquatic plants from our existing ponds were transferred to the pond and one week later the pond was occupied by water boatmen, whirligig beetles, a great diving beetle and visited by a number of dragonflies - Success!
