When plants combine with railway sleepers

When landscapers & gardeners have just finished the arduous digging, levelling, positioning, screwing & concreting of all the sleepers and poles etc.. everything looks functional, neat and precisely designed, but sometimes inevitably a little hard and bare. A year later it's such a different picture. Plants are no respecters of straight lines, and relish covering up anything they fancy. That's when the joy of gardening takes off...
