CHRIS'S NARROWEST OF GARDENS TRANSFORMED WITH HARDWOOD RAILWAY SLEEPERS & STEEL I-BEAMS
Here are some photos of the railway sleepers in Edgbaston. The RSJ’s used are over 1/3 in the ground of the height above ground in a bedrock of sandstone so it was quite a task getting them in the ground to height. Many aspects to this project... such is landscaping! Full of fun, challenge and slog towards the end… but we finished!

It takes a lot of skill and design to successfully landscape such an unusual area. In many eyes this piece of land might appear limited in size and maybe impossible with such overwhelming boundary walls. But Chris has ingeniously transformed this space, with immense graft, into an attractive and eye-catching multi-layered garden. Brilliant.
