Nigel and Julie's decking project with railway sleepers
Here is a collection of photos showing the creation of 'Nigel & Julie's Deck' with new oak railway sleepers. We have basically built an extension to the house - creating a massive entertainment and relaxation area of approx 62 metres sq. As you can see we have now created a second project - making the rest of the garden look as good - by planting lots of great shrubs, palms etc. Between the railway sleepers steps we will create a couple of flower beds. Start to finish was 3 working weeks - pretty much equally divide between excavation, building the railway sleeper retaining wall and building the deck. Thanks for your good service and advice - BTW the timberlock screws for the deck and the oak railway sleepers are brilliant!
