'CHUNKY OAK DESIGNS' CREATE FIREPLACES & TABLES WITH OAK RAILWAY SLEEPERS

I have had a life long interest in working with wood and in 2010 I took the plunge and leased a small workshop in Derbyshire and 'Chunky Oak Designs' was born. My favourite materials to work with are reclaimed oak and iron. I find the character of the oak, whether it's an old field gate post with knots and splits, a reclaimed railway sleeper or a beam from an old canal lock gate, often enables you to create something genuinely unique. Here are some projects that I made with the railway sleepers I bought from you.
