Most landscapers simply stack railway sleepers on top of each other and then screw them together with Timberlok railway sleeper screws. Job done! So, it is refreshing to see someone taking the more skillful and arduous option of actually jointing them by hand. Impressive, time consuming, but attractive.

Brilliant to see the landscaping almost finished. An immensley impressive and spectacular project undertaken in arduous conditions. No machinery for digging or carrying the railway sleepers & steel H beams into the garden. Amazing!

It's surprising how fast freshly cut oak railway sleepers change from golden yellow to bleached silvery grey. It's one of those unavoidable facts of life that outside timber (AND HAIR!) eventually goes grey, unless you chose to colour it with wood stain. Unsure if hairdressers would approve, though. I knew there was a reason why I lost my hair!!
