What astonishing attention to detail and joinery skills. Most landscapers simply bolt their railway sleepers together and rely on the weather to sort out the finished look. Not so with Tony! He has impeccably created his oak landscaping with exact precision and hours of craftmanship to create a finished product that is closer to a beautifully grained oak table than simple raised garden borders!

It's a real pleasure to see the stage by stage pictures of Paul's landscaping unfolding and the creation of his driveway & raised garden area. Clearly he's still got a little further to go, but it's already clear that his ongoing project using over 70 reclaimed Dutch oak railway sleepers has wonderfully transformed the huge open area around his house. Very impressive.

What an uplifting story of a London community united in the pleasures of growing food and spending time together. A feast of thriving events, workshops and gardening sessions, not to mention eating produce in the outdoor kitchen. An inspiring project with the used railway sleeper bays playing a useful part in the production of organic compost.

IF ONLY my body had lasted as well as your railway sleeper hardwood steps! I fondly look back at that optimistic time at the end of the 1990's when I still had hair, and no knee problems. My daughter (married last week) was only two years old, and our fledgling railway sleeper business was only in its second year. How things have changed! Here's to another 22 years!

It is especially rewarding when something so simple can be a complete success. In this case, the satisfaction comes from creating an eye-catching waterfall that is fixed to a single length of tropical hardwood railway sleeper. Quite perfect.

It's exciting to see pictures of a new lake or water feature being created at this beautiful golf course. These new oak railway sleepers have been dug into the bank, and held in place by upright telegraph poles. They have created both a damn to hold back the stream, and also an attractive waterfall, whilst the newly planted turf sides are held in place by wooden stakes. Yet another adventurous challenge for long suffering Nottinghamshire golfers!

A fabulous collection of golf course products. John's obvious passion for golf and railway sleepers has led to a unique and eye-catching collection of signs, bins and 'golfing furniture. They are so full of rustic character, and blend perfectly into the beautiful golf courses he supplies. Very impressive.

There is something very personal and special about the tiny water feature that you have created in your courtyard from used tropical hardwood railway sleepers. So simple, natural and overflowing with colour and folliage, that makes it almost reminiscent of an exquisite shrine. Very beautiful. A little oasis in your courtyard garden, and your photos demonstrate perfectly how the simple positioning of old railway sleepers can make a very attractive feature.

Boules, or Pétanque, is one of those exciting games that can be played anywhere, but is especially enthralling when you can play it at home with a glass of wine. I have holiday memories of watching clinking steel balls as French villagers fiercely compete in the middle of ancient tree lined squares, and I'm sure that Stephen will recreate these contests in rural West Sussex! These reclaimed tropical hardwood railway sleepers provide an attractive and sturdy edging for this court, and will no doubt witness years of family rivalry!
